Born and raised in Hickory, North Carolina . He was the North Carolina junior state champion for five consecutive years 1980-1984. In 1984 won the national Interscholastic Championship and was voted an All American at South Caldwell High School in Hudson , NC . Also in 1984 was invited to the 1984 United States Olympic tryouts. 1987-1988 was a two time All American at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette . Held the No.1 national ranking in doubles during the 1988 season. Won the Surfmarc national singles title in 1986. Played professionally and held both singles and doubles world rankings during that time.
Became the Head Professional at Red Lerelle's Health Club from 1990-1997. Ashley's focus at that time was junior development and has coached over 25 state champions and has helped many get scholarships to some of the best schools in the nation.
Ashley coached Chanda Rubin for seven years and toured with her for two and a half years.
Coached Jordan Daigle who's highest ranking was no. 3 in the Nation as a junior. Jordan became a two-time All-American at LSU.
Ashley is one of the few professionals who has played, coached and ran events on the professional level.

Has served on the Board of Directors for 3 years of the Louisiana Tennis Association.
He has been at the City Club at River Ranch since its inception in the summer of 2001.

Chase Rhoney was born and raised in Lafayette Louisiana.
Formerly ranked number 1 in the state in singles and doubles as a junior coached by Ashley Rhoney.
Experienced Teaching Pro at City Park New Orleans working with the New Orleans Youth Tennis Association.
Has received USPTA training.
Does all stringing for City Club and is available to advise players on how to equip their racquets.

Kirk Harrison is a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional who has been playing tennis for over thirty years.
Kirk grew up playing racquetball where he later won a college championship at the Citadel.
While in the military he continued to play, advancing to the third round of the Zurich Open.
After switching to tennis, his career included fifteen years as a Tennis Umpire, peaking with three US Opens and being selected for the Men's Doubles Final.
He is an innovative and dedicated teaching professional able to instruct at all levels.
