Personal Training

Personal Training at City Club is second to none.  Along with Nationaly Accredited Certifications, our trainers  have obtained a degree in an exercise related fields or are currently in persuit of this.  The personal training staff consists of 14 trainers with undergraduate degrees ranging from kinesiology, nutrition, exercise science and health promotion.  Three of our trainers have graduate degrees in Cardiac rehab, Human Performance and Kinesiology.  We are equipt to handle a variety of fitness ranges from the high school athlete in training to the post cardiac patient.  Come and experience why education and experience mixed with personality and the ability to motivate can lead to a productive and fun personal training journey.

      Nathan Pry, Fitness Director

      Education: B.S. Exercise Science M.S., Kinesiology
      Certifications: ACM Certified, 2 years strength and conditioning coach for University of Louisiana athletics, certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. 
      Experience: 10 years experience in fitness and strength & conditioning


      Marcie Gill, Group Exercise Coordinator 
      Education: B.A. - Exercise Health & Sport Studies
      Certifications: Group Exercise Certification - AFAA; Certified Personal Trainer - ACSM
      Experience: 16 years experience


      HJ Adams
      Education:
        B.S. Kinesiology & Exercise Science, Minor in Business Administration
      Experience:   6 years personal training; 3 years as the New Orleans Saints and Voodoo Strength and Conditioning Coach


      Brian Broussard
      Education:
      B.S. - Physiology; M.S. - Human Performance and Health Promotion
      Certifications: Resist-A-Ball and AFPA Certified Personal Trainer; Completed NSCA - CSCS
      Experience: 5 years experience in Personal Training


      Jeanette Boudreaux

      Certifications: ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Cooper Institute Special Populations Certification
      Experience: 10 years experience as a personal trainer


      Diana Montfort

      Education:
      B.S. in General Studies with minors in Kinesiology and Psychology
      Certifications: ACSM Personal Training, Body Bike and Reebok Cycling and Body Pump


      Dextria Sapp

      Education: B.S. Exercise Science
      Certifications: Cooper Institute of Aerobic Research Personal Training, AFFA Group Exercise, CPR.
      Experience:   6 years personal training; 2 years on staff for Universal Dance Association


      Daina Lazaro
      Education:
      B.S. Psychology
      Certifications: ACE Personal Trainer; ACE Group Fitness Instructor; Prenatal and Postpartal Certified by Lakeside Women's Hospital
      Experience: 20 years - group exercise; 18 years - Personal Training


      Travis Tolbert
      Education:
        B.S. General Studies with a concentration in Biology and Kinesiology
      Certifications:   Cooper Certified Personal Trainer
      Experience:   5 years Track & Field; 1 year Personal Training


      Jacob Auzenee

      Education:   Currently pursuing Exercise Science degree at ULL
      Certifications:   Cooper Institute Certified Personal Trainer; CrossFit Certification
      Experience:   2008 Lightweight Mr. Louisiana; 5 years experience in the fitness industry; Experience in competitive bodybuilding; 4 years experience in competitive powerlifting


      Dr. Barry Henry
      Henry Performance Lab, in partnership with City Club, offers a program of scientific testing that can help anyone reach optimal fitness. Whether you are an average person who wants to improve your fitness and overall health, an elite athlete looking to take your workouts to the next level, or someone with chronic health problems and limited stamina - Dr. Barry Henry and the City Club staff can help you reach your fitness goals.       Jheri Turnley
       
      Education: B.S. - Exercise Science
      Certifications : Certified Health Fitness Specialist through ACSM.  Currently the director of Henry Performance Lab. 
      Experience: 5 years experience as a fitness instructor, water aerobics instructor , and personal trainer.


      Travis Broussard
      Education:
        B.S. Exercise Physiology
      Certifications:  National Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, Certified Golf Biomechanic (CHEK Institute)
      Experience:  7 years personal training and 2-time Louisiana State Bodybuilding Champion.  Travis has lectured throughout the U.S. and Canada on nutrition and exercise.

    Semi - Private Group Training
    Get a group of friends together (2 - 4 people) and receive private training with the benefits of a group atmoshphere and social structure.  Scheduling can conform to your needs.

    Personal Training
    A more exclusive approach.  Your trainer caters to your needs to reach your goals.  Everything conforms to your needs.

    Coach Brian's Bootcamp
    A four week, no nonsense workout, to get you the results that you want.  Offered in sessions monthly. 

    Runners Training
    We offer seasonal walking and running classes listed on our Group X schedules targeting the beginner to the advanced participant.

    Triathlon Training
    The annual triathlon benefiting the Affiliated Blind, Acadiana Chapter will be held on June 1st this year.  Make sure to start your endurance training.

    Outdoor Cardio
    Stay up to date with information regarding our monthly Coach Brian's Bootcamp or HIT with HJ, sure to whip you into shape.

    Fitness Testing
    Evaluations available to assess cardiovascular, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and body composition

    Zumba Private Lessons
    Zumba Private Instruction is available now. This session is perfect for those who want to perfect the moves learned in the group exercise class. Instruction is $50 per person for individual sessions and $35 per person for semi-private instruction. Call Nate Pry to schedule at 216.6584.
